Well over the summer I sure did not do a good job of working on crafts or posting anything. That might have to do with the lack of my friend coming over to craft with me and the fact that I was working during the summer on top of having all six of my kids home from school. I have since quit my job to go back to being a stay at home mom again and possibly going back to school soon, do not know what for yet though, and five of my kids started back to school today. That leave me with just one little guy home this year so lets see what kinds of things we can come up with and work on this year. Oh, I must point out I am still working on my mother-n-laws crass stitch, which i have managed not to touch in at least five months or more now. I am so bad with that thing that is it makes me laugh every time i do think about it. Guess I should slap myself for not doing it again and get started AGAIN.
To start the show and tell so to speak is a picture of some fabric flowers that my oldest daughter has made to put on hair clips. A few of them will be having buttons put in the centers. They should be really cute when they are done.
As for my projects the first one I will share is a Lover's Knot crocheted butterfly. I can honestly say I have been crocheting for years and years but never learned this stitch until now. I was playing a round trying it out and came up with the butterfly. I am thinking about threading a wire around the outside of it so that I can hang it on the wall in my girls' bedroom with out it losing its shape.
A while back my friend brought over some of her patterns and let me look at them and use the ones I wanted. When she finally took them home she had forgotten one pattern that my kids found a few weeks ago. I decided a few days later to cut out the pattern but had to put it a side before I could sew it. A few days ago I decide that I was going to hand sew them. I think that they turned out rather cute.

My hand made puppy and kitty toys have finally found a new home. They went to a 10 month old little girl who just moved into the area. Her dad works with my husband. The family moved in a few months after he arrived, so we just met them recently. When they came over for the Fourth of July I found out that she loved them. I guess they have had to keep one at home and one in the car so she always has one with her. Glad I found a home for them with someone that loves them so much.
