Doll Clothes

On Saturday,New Years, after the Rose Parade was over and my husband started watching football, I decide I was going to sew. I got out all my stuff figured out what I was going to work on after I mended some teddy bears for a few of my kids. I should have known that as soon as I get my stuff out for me I was going to have my kids wanting to do something. While I was mending the bears my youngest daughter come in and went though my fabric asking to make clothes for her new 18inch doll that she got for Christmas. My oldest daughter also came in but left upset because I was sewing the stuff for my other daughter instead of helping her cut out pieces for a skirt or something for her doll.

My youngest daughter had a small pile of fabric that she wanted stuff made out of for her doll. Together we made a dress and cut out the pieces for a similar dress for my oldest daughters American Girl doll since the dolls are the same size. Maybe today I can get that dress sewn. Since my oldest was so upset about me not helping her on Saturday maybe she will want to work with me on it today.

I had found the pieces to a coat that I finished off for my daughter in the boxes of fabric that my husband's Grandma had given me a while back. When my daughter was going through the fabric and found more of the same fabric she wanted a matching coat for her doll. Now they can match.
