Table Topper

I finished up a new table topper last night. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I did the piece work in December. Since I have not hand quilter in a very long time, probably about a good twenty years or more. I needed to work on making even stitches. I used a few different patterns in the individual squares in two rows across the middle of the table topper. Then quilted diagonally for the rest of the table topper, following the diagonals of the half squares.

doll bassinet/bag

My friend sent me an email that had a link to a YouTube tutorial on how to make a doll bassinet that turns into a bag to carry the doll and a few small items for it. I watched it yesterday after church to see what it was exactly. Well that evening I needed something to do while my hubby watched his television shows and finished up some of his homework. I remembered the pattern for it and figured that I would give it a try. This is how it turned out.

  It is roughly a seven by seven inch bag and folds down to the bassinet with a tine doll blanket. I had my youngest daughter find a toy that would fit in it. She could not find her tiny baby doll so she brought me this little pink guy. Doesn't he look so cute in the purple bassinet?
