It has been a while since I managed to work on a project or completed a project. In the last two weeks or so I managed to finish two. I was going through some of my fabric that my husband bought me not long ago. I had no clue what I was going to do with a few fabrics because of the prints on them. When I came to a ballerina fabric I realized that it was just right for making something for my friends little girl. It took me a while to decide what I could make her and then to pick one of the ballerinas to use. At first I thought about using all the ballerinas on the vest but found the placement would end up just a little off for a few of them because of how much fabric I actually had. If I did I was going to use the ballet shoes as the liner for inside the front. Instead the shoes became the front itself and only one ballerina was used. I think it ended up cute. My next problem with the vest was that when I went to get the buttons out for it. I was reminded that I let one of my daughters use one of the pick buttons that I wanted to use for it. So at this time there are no buttons on it.
Another project that I had actually started while I was still able to get stuff done was a table topper mat. I machine pieced and hand appliqued this project. I had completed the machine piecing part and started the hand applique part before i got busy and put it aside for a while. Once I got a little time to work on it I finished the applique and completed the top. Completing the table topper will have to wait until after my new carpet goes in the room my craft stuff is in.
